The reason for the Stupak Amendment is pretty simple to explain...
House Democrats are afraid to stand up for the rights of women.

I guess, even in some of their eyes, women are still not entitled to have control over their own bodies.

Any Democrat who voted for it should be asked why this is the case, and a straight answer demanded from them.

1. The Worst Of Them, Sir, Are Those Who Voted For The Abominable Amendment, And Then Against The Bill
Those shit-heels are beyond redemption....

9. The Bill Had To Pass, Sir, Even Disfigured As It Was
The stand must be made in the Conference Committee, when the maximum of inertial pressure can be brought to bear on the evangelical freaks who produced this abomination. Rep. Capp's initial language must be restored. President Obama has laid down a marker on this, and will have to follow through.

13. I still disagree and, also, think Obama sounded like he was talking out of both sides of his mouth.

6. Yeah, roughly 20 Blue Dogs voted against the bill, despite largely favoring the Stupak Amendment.
I cannot think of even one Blue Dog who opposed the inclusion of the Stupak Amendment, but there is a list of Blue Dogs who did vote against the health care bill.

Hopefully, they will be more attentive now.

3. Should Hyde be overturned with this health care bill?
Should the public option and all insurance policies in the exchange provide full abortion coverage? Should we refuse to pass health care unless it's left the way it was before Stupak?

4. That's true, but more than that, I think it was just a way to derail the HCR process.
Cynical bastards. They really don't care who they hurt. They just don't want to regulate the insurance industry. If it wasn't reproductive rights, it would be something else. That's what I think.
