(MCT)

ALLIANCE, Ohio - ...

Rove's appearance brought out about 25 protesters, who walked in front of the theater prior to the speech holding anti-war and anti-Rove signs.

Among them were a Minerva, Ohio, Marine, her daughter and the Marine's mother. Cpl. Amanda McNeeley, 25, completed her active-duty enlistment in 2005 after serving in the initial invasion of Iraq, and she has been in the Inactive Ready Reserve since then...

In a question-and-answer period after his speech, Rove was asked whose idea it was to start a pre-emptive war in Iraq.

"I think it was Osama bin Laden's," Rove replied...

1. So that's where the little voices in bush's head originate.
It's all so clear to me now, osama bin laden has been running our country! Oh, kkkarl I've been so wrong about you...tell me more.

2. Yeah, in a private meeting at the White House Situation Room
I hear the canapés were impeccable that day. And though cocktails weren't served, there was no doubt a fine grade of hashish passed around in a bong made from the spongy skull of an elephant. Osama still mourns for the relative creature comfort of those halcyon days.

5. I can't tell - does Rove think that's a funny remark?
It's very much like Bush making that video about looking for WMDs behind the sofa - saying something absurd about your own actions, while you're still supposedly holding the same government position in which you made them, and which you're still meant to take seriously.

Should we take this as a massive "we're in charge, still, so we can say 'fuck you, we lied then, it's now obvious, but we don't care that we've been exposed'"?

Or did he just say the name as part of the never-ending attempt to drum fear into Americans? If he had been asked about the VT shootings, would he have blamed them on bin Laden too?

6. sounds like collaborating with the enemy
if it was Bin-laden's idea to invade Iraq... and the loyal bushies went along with it... ummm... collaborating with the enemy? Treason? at the very least it's "embolding the enemy"

7. I want Rove to shut up and to be shut up. I want this destructive little worm
wriggling, jiggling, mass of putrid snivelling foul mass of gelatinous stench and filth to be shut up so far away that he'll never see the light of day. How much more malevolent than this man can a person be?
