What was this I heard about Bush making people faint at Virginia Tech?

Thom Hartman briefly talked about it today. Something about Bush talking to people at the school and instead of a message of hope he started doing a point by point of what happened and it was so disturbing people started fainting. Bush is such an idiot!

Anyone have video of that?

:shrug: I cannot imagine a place where he'd be less welcome due to his own politics/needed photo op. I think it was disgusting, too little too late, (Sheehan, Katrina, Iraq...) Phew, that's a lot of ignoring!

2. Sounds like bullshit to me.

I heard and watched the speech live from the football stadium next door. Bush did not go through a graphic description. There was a fainting incident, but it was well after Bush's speech.

and he played the part where they had to stop the speech because someone had fainted. I think it was a different speech than the one he gave yesterday. Not sure though.

hartman was making the point that when you go to a memorial service you don't want to hear someone talking about the horrific details of how the person you loved was murdered.

Laura didn't flinch. She didn't turn around. She didn't move. It was strange. Very strange.

How come there were so many empty seats? The reporters were saying that they were turning people away? Why if there were so many available seats?
