Does anyone else hate Sunday Morning non-product corporate TV ads?

just feel like I'm being beaten over the head with corporate brainwashing

at least normal ad's message is 'buy the freaking product, and we'll leave you alone'

the non-product ads are dfinately 'let our lobbyists dictate your life - sit back an be passive, feel good about us screwing you'

espeacially the ads where they have a few short sentences, switched by a different 'diverse' person every few words, just to let you know 'everyone else thinks ths', WHY NOT YOU!?!?!

1. I loathe tv commercials in general... that is
one of the main reasons I dumped cable tv.

because of a few stations like Link TV, TMC and FMC that have no damned commercials. Even when the programming sucks all over the dial and the film's a dog and I'm just leaving the thing on for background noise, it's relaxing not to be dinned into changing my brokerage, taking up drinking beer, or worshiping at the altar of some financial or medical consortium.

In any case, I've never much given a shit what everybody else thinks. They're wrong about too many things.

9. I do the same thing with DVDs
in fact, some of the movies in my collection are specifically there as 'throw-away' flicks -- those that I put on and promptly ignore.

I'm with you. I've never been concerned with the group think at any given moment. It generally has very little to do with anything real or substantial.

"They're wrong about too many things."

I agree wholeheartedly.

4. They're supposed to generate good will. They're supposed to be lofty public relations.
I loathe pharma commercials. Especially the incessant ED ones.

5. They do that to control the news. There's no reason for these kind of ads at all.

7. That's EXACTLY what they're for...says what we want, or we pull our ads
if anything, if I were a corp, I would want the influence buy not the ad exposure

I always read the ad as "Meet the Press, censored by.."

the ads tell me who is censoring that show
