"I have great health care at work and I don't want anyone messing with it. I don't think there is anyone in America who isn't being taken care of."

Let me say that he is either the stupidest person I have ever heard(save GW), but he will be dancing to another tune if he loses his job.

The Democrats rallied in Concord NH today, the rethugs in Manchester.

What is with these people anyway?

1. well for starters
they're stupid. but perhaps even more unsettling is how clear it is that they just don't give a rat's ass about others. and of course you're right, he loses his job and there goes his insurance. it's baffling that the thought apparently never once crossed his mind.

2. key words in what he said: " I DON'T THINK.."
there are many willfully ignorant people in this country- as well as some deceitful liars.

GOP is the 'Party of ME'. 'Keep your hands of MY money.' 'Keep your hands of MY healthcare.' 'But I expect you liberal commies to STFU while I place my grubby hands all over your gay marriage and your uteruses.' Selfish, money-grubbing, soulless pigs.

4. He probably hasn't 'tested' his plan yet by getting sick
then an old pre-existing pimple will cost him dearly.

5. His sole source of information is probably Fox.
Where they say this crap all the time.
One time my mom said to me "well, they couldn't say it on TV if it weren't true..."
My mouth fell open but I couldn't form words. So stunned my brain locked up.

6. I would like for someone
to explain to me why the republicans do not want health care. Of course republicans in congress, already have health care but there are a lot of republicans who are dancing and jumping at the rallies who are protesting health insurance for all.

And I can't believe that one just one of the commentators does not ask a republican why they supported bush and his 8 trillion dollar debt for Halliburton and the rest of those companies whose money did trickle down, it trickled down to cheney and don't support benefits for all Americans.

10. I asked two repubs that question. They both thought that we should not have ANY 3rd party payer.
The docs compete for your business and voila their fees are lower. They didn't like the greedy insurance companies either but they also fear the takeover of such a large economic entity as health care by the government.

I know, I know...go figure...

7. There are a lot of right-wing lies about people without insurance.
Much if it consists of claims that the uninsured people are illegals and/or people that choose not to have insurance. It's ignorant BS.

8. It's "open enrollment" for most of us. Did his employer switch plans?
He'll be dancing to another tune if that happens too.

12. This is a person with no imagination.
He apparently never thinks about what would happen if he loses his job, or his employer switches plans, or if he becomes ill (would he still be covered?), or if the insurance company raises their premiums, or if they lower their coverage, or raise their deductibles. That and he assumes that everybody else has exactly what he does.
