Framing the health care debate and abortion - something to think about
1. You got pregnant, that is your fault....BUT

A - Carry it to term, we will pay for it.
B - Choose not to, we won't pay for it (ie, abortion)

So the RW is more than willing to pay for a choice a woman makes, but only one of them.

They will claim 'we should not pay for an abortion, you could have avoided getting pregnant' but then will turn around and say 'you made the choice we like, so we will pay for it'.

Keeping a child is a choice to - so why would they agree to pay for that?

1. Actually they don't want to pay for maternity coverage.
Republicans are fine with insurance companies charging women more in premiums due to pregnancy and with allowing them to make maternity coverage a separate rider. I used to sell health insurance and most individual policies don't automatically cover pregnancy and birth. You have to buy extra coverage for that.

2. abortion is a medical procedure decided upon by doctor & patient, just like heart surgery
it's perfectly legal and should not be a part of the debate

3. A woman should be free to decide if she wants an abortion
Viagra and other medications for impotence should then also not be covered, at NO circumstances.
