I honestly do not know why some politician did not come up with this earlier.
When even I know we could tomorrow bring sanity to the free- for-all that is the state of medical marijuana in Colorado, well, folks are just not trying.
Al White and I were sharing a plate of wings the other night when the Republican state senator from Hayden broached the subject with me."I'm going to do it," he said late that evening for maybe the 14th time.
The next day, White, a member of cash-strapped Colorado's Joint Budget Committee, pulled a title for his proposed bill. He called me Thursday and said he had done it.
<snip>
Dispensary owners, I reminded him, who under the bill would no longer be allowed to grow plants for their own customers, would throw a fit.
"They could under my bill simply hire a licensed pharmacist or get state accreditation themselves," he said.
"This plan works on so many levels. It gets rid of the dispensary question first," White said. "It ensures a known-quality drug, not some ditch weed someone is growing in their backyard. And it gets the drug cartels, which certainly have to be making money in Colorado with medical marijuana, out of the picture."

MMMMMMMM Wings sound GOOD suddenly.
