Repub Senator Cornyn sent me a "strategy survey" with loaded questions......so....

first of all I thank him for wasting repub money on mailers to democrats.

wish I could post the whole thing on line with all the loaded and skewed questions, but I am glad to note he calls for a huge slash in military spending with these questions ( do you agree/disagree):

Our government has grown too large?
The Federal government is too wasteful?
Balancing the budget should be an important goal for congress?
In order to balance the federal budget we should a) increase taxes b)decrease government waste and spending

Other "questions" are pure slanted right wing baloney:

I DO NOT believe our healthcare system should be socialized.
There should be a constituional amendment to prevent desecration of the American flag.
I believe gays should not be permitted to openly server in the military.
I believe democrats' efforts to resurrect the fairness doctrine would restrict my right to free speech

The one question left out seems to be:

I believe it is a mistake to have a black president

As we know it has nothing to do with an individual's free speech.

Do they think Democrats are going to assign each individual a 24 hour a day guardian to supply an alternative to each idiotic asshole opinion they express?

(P.S. I was alive during the fairness doctrine, all it meant was there was more 'public affairs" programming on duing todays 'infomercial hours.

4. Actually that is their exact fear, they really believe that police will round them up

any time they voice their opinions on minorities. Never mind that type of crap would mean 1) an increase in police 2) more funds to run a larger police force and 3)republicon freedom killers would have to be in the majority for it to be enacted. Once again we can clearly see how conservatives project their agenda on the "other" party. Remember these are the same people who just got their taxes lowered and are out in full force complaining the rich will have to pay the same taxes they paid in 1999. You can't fix stupid and you can't get any more stupid then the conservative among us.

If so, that's how you got on his email list. I added him to my junk filter years ago.

Every once in a while I call his office to ask a question or express my opinion on a piece of legislation. They always want me to give them my mailing address.

I'll look and see if I got one of those surveys.
