Raw inescapable LOGIC from Rep. Alan Grayson (which even a simple-minded Republican might grasp!):
"I'm sure that if we learned that al-Qaida was going to launch
an attack on the United States and kill 44,789 Americans at any
time next year, I'm sure that we would do anything in our power
to prevent that. I submit to you we should do the same about this.
We should do exactly the same here because we face the same threat."

4. He's showing the way
I'd love to vote for him. Better yet, I'd love to vote for a candidate like him, right here in Montana. I can't donate but I'd work my butt off for a Montana Democrat who isn't owned by lobbyists.

14. In a red state where it is a forgone conclusion that the pug will
win hands down; Imagine a campaign to write in Alan Grayson's name all over the redneck parts of the country. Talk about a leg up and the corporate press would have to report it. Now that is a rebellion I could believe in.

6. We Should Have A Congress Full Of Alan Graysons
Maybe then we wouldn't have to cowtow to the minority for scraps from their table. Maybe we'd have ACTUAL healthcare reform right now. Maybe we'd be on the way to ACTUALLY making this country better than when we found it. You know, it's a funny thing, but I don't seem to remember the Republicans grovelling for Democrats' approval when THEY controlled the White House and both houses of Congress. They rammed their agenda through and told the rest of us to choke on it. The difference being that if WE did that with a few of these key issues, the country wouldn't resent it because things would actually get better. Don't the Democrats realize that positive change is the BEST reelection campaign issue they could possibly have? You give me a few changes that have palpable, noticeable benefits, and I'll win reelection every single time, and I wouldn't NEED a single dime from the Health Insurance Industry or Big Pharma, or any other special interest cash cow to do it. The rest of the Democratic Party needs to sit up and take notice of what Alan Grayson is doing, because he reminds me a lot of Howard Dean in 2003 the way he's shanking things up and refusing to cowtow to his Republican Overlords.

7. Also, As Sad As It Is To Say...........
............I believe that if we could transplant Dennis Kucinich's brain into a tall, good-looking body, he'd be a lock to become President someday. It's a real shame, but Kucinich will always be marginalized because he "looks weird."

9. The republicans wouldn't do anything to prevent that either.
They would do everything in their power to block preventative measures, and then they would cynically use the aftermath to adjutant for unjustified wars, and fascist legislation, all the while blaming the Democrats for the whole fiasco.

The republicans don't care about the US or its citizens. The want to turn this country into an all white totalitarian Jesus-land with absolute power for themselves and their pet industries, and if they need to expend lots of us in the process, they have no problem doing so.

Most of the Democrats would probably want to prevent such an attack on the US (the Lieberman crowd would of course side with the republicans for whatever reason) but if doing so involved breaking from "bipartisanship" there is a good chance that they would wring their hands a lot and do very little.

11. Sorry...false comparison....
The deaths from people w/o insurance is practically guaranteed

Being attacked by a terrorist group is only a possibility....

58k were killed in Vietnam...if that helps put the number in perspective.

13. It's just that simple.
We won't let al-Qaida kill Americans but greed? That's ok. At least with many it is.

Keep on rockin' Congressman Grayson! :yourock:

15. Yet, one still wonders what was done to have prevented a known impending
attack earlier in the decade when thousands died.
