"All men are created equal"...
...apparently, not anymore. The disrespect in this country towards "different" people is, frankly, nauseating. So much so, that it has become that a great majority of the people in this country are nut-jobs who think that it's appropriate to treat their religion (or political beliefs) as the only answer to problems. To them, if it's not right by their beliefs, it's not right for anyone else. They do not acknowledge basic human rights - to marriage, to health, to free thought and speech...

It needs to end.
Immediately.

Unfortunately, it really is not a feasible task. And, like many, I know not of a solution. So until that glorious day, when we achieve equality and peace, we must live with this hatred.

But when that day does come, I will be at rest.

3. According to social conservatives....
all heterosexual, wealthy, Protestant white males are created equal.

They could care less about anybody else.

14. I wish I weren't.
Let's face it. People hate people for all kinds of reasons. None of which are good.

Hate has never created, healed or even slightly helped anyone or any relationship.

Yet, people hold on to it. Like a life raft.

We will always find ways to destroy each other.

It will always be "their" fault.

"They" are the problem.

Who is they? Well that depends on who you ask?

But ask anyone. And you're sure to find who is to blame.

4. Might be created equal but we don't remain equal.
Within seconds of birth, the inequality begins.

13. The only way to "make it so"
Is to eliminate government altogether. Then we are all TRULY equal. For it's government that says I can't marry another man.

It seems obvious to me that we are not meant to rule over each other. History has proven that.

Unfortunately, that's not an option given the present state of things.

After all, who wants to teach their own children?

Who wants to police their own neighborhood?

Who wants to save for their retirement?

Who wants to eat healthy, give up smoking, and exercise regularly in order to avoid health issues?

Are any of us willing to do all of these things to achieve equality?

Doubtful.

10. Everyone is "different"
Hatred flows through every community. And it comes from every side.

The problem is that most people think themselves to be very loving when in reality that love is conditional on many things. In my opinion that's not love at all.

Most people I know only love people who love them. Therefore they are not as much interested in giving love as receiving it.

Until all of us can understand what love really is, hate will be abundant.

I challenge myself everyday to love someone who is seemingly unlovable.

Can you love those "nut-jobs"? Can you rise above them? Or is elimination the only alternative?

The hardest thing to do is love an enemy.

But once you can do that, you'll find that they are no longer an enemy.

The line comes out of the constitution.

19. It comes from the Declaration of Independence
In the constitution, not only are men not created equal, but some are counted as 3/5 of a person.
