Democrat Luke Ravenstahl has been elected as Mayor of Pittsburgh, defeating Independent candidate Franco Harris.

Democrat Anthony Foxx has been elected Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, defeating Republican John Lassiter.

Democrat John Liu has been elected as New York City's comptroller, becoming the first Asian-American to hold a citywide office.

(Democrat) Dawn Zimmer has been elected the first female mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey with about 44 percent of the vote.

Boston Democratic Mayor Menino has been elected to a fifth term, the first mayor to serve a fifth term in Boston history.

7. Franco Harris' son ran.......
and lost. He's like 30 years old, or, barely younger than the incumbent mayor who won. Franco Harris the senior was an Obama delegate.
