TV station: More bodies found in Cleveland home

CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say a rapist living in an Ohio home where several bodies have been found has been charged with five counts of aggravated murder.

Cleveland police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho says 50-year-old Anthony Sowell was also charged Tuesday with rape, felonious assault and kidnapping.

Two more bodies were removed Tuesday from a convicted rapist's home where police last week recovered the bodies of six women, a television station reported.

Two coroner's vans arrived shortly before the remains were removed.

Cleveland police Lt. Tom Stacho could not confirm that additional bodies had been recovered. He said more details would be provided at an evening news conference with Police Chief Michael McGrath.

He's locked up for 15 years, and comes out of prison, and lives in that BIG house alone.. and it looks like a pretty decent house..How'd he do that?

I saw one report yesterday where they said there were several calls made about possible victims...but no police follow up..

This is frighteningly typical; I can't even tell you how many news stories I have heard of males arrested for murdering their wives, and the reporter will say, "The first wife also died under mysterious circumstances, but it was delared an accident," and maybe, "that case is now being re-opened." They believe everything the male says, they don't care, they don't bother. John Walsh quotes something the serial killer of women, Ted Bundy, said when people always asked, How did you get away so easily with so many murders of women, and why did it go on undetected so long? Bundy answered a line like, (about police, who were always males), "They hate women as much as I do."

18. OMG. It's easy to kill women who have low status in our society. No way would

a serial killer been able to kill 10 rich women without the full force of government looking into the matter.

27. nothing to do with rich or poor, its more to do with what the serial killer profiles as his targets

a problem with a lot of the targets of serial killers is that they tend to target people who wont be missed, runaways, hookers etc, so they get to kill a lot before the connections are made, rich women on the other hand tend to be noticed missing, escpecially if they are signing paychecks or paying bills etc, its just the mechanics of the victim profiles.

jeez, do you have any idea how many missing persons cases there are at any time in the US, unless there are clear reasons to suspect foul play theres not much that can be done...
