Good morning DU
Hope all is well with everyone. I seem to notice that the GOP is destroying our party from the inside. Politicians being the scumbags they are will switch parties for no ideological reason, just to win. The conservative democrats are just republicans taking advantage of the anti-war sentiment. In my opinion, we were so happy to have all the new faces in the Dem. party, we didn't want look to closely we wanted majorities and the White house.

Now these conservative "dems" sold us out to "insert big business here". My belief is that the republicans put on their best sheep costumes, to hide the fact they are indeed wolves, and are now in our flock. The continuing defection of republicans to our side will only leave the progressives further and further away from the "mainstream" of the party. We have been marginalized, not by the GOP, by our own party. We were sold a bill of goods. We'll end the wars, bring health care to all, make the rich pay their share, investigate the malfeasance of the previous administration, etc.....

Well what has all of that done for us. Looks like another example of the more things change the more they stay the same. I want to believe that things will change like President Obama promised. So far the only change that stands out at me is the party has left us. We have substantial majorities in both houses and still can't get anything done, because of obstructionists in out own party. I will continue the good fight, but I think skidmore said it great in this post http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6902087. I will not stop believing and doing what is right. I will support the best candidates. I think our party has sold us out and it is too late to get it back.

Anyway, that is my rant for today. I hope you have a peaceful and fulfilling day. I just hope I didn't piss in anyone's Cheerios this morning. As always I remain a bleeding heart to the core, I will not let the bastards get me down. Much love.

Peace,
Max

1. Sort of reminds you of the guy/gal you meet at two in the morning, spend
some delightful hours together.....and then in the light of day one thinks.."what the hell was I thinking??"...Well, that's how I view these folks anyway....Good day back at ya!

3. Infiltrating and subverting
is a time honored tradition of the ruling classes because they know it works.
It is as an important a tactic,in their view,as divide and conquer.Usually, the two go hand in hand.Especially if they have a hard time subverting an organization.
The Masons are an excellant example of this phenomenon.Once an organization dedicated to advancing the ideals of enlightment they have turned into a good ole boys club dedicated to maintaining the status quo.
