Why not number the days of each month starting with the number 13?
For example, September would go from September 13th to September 42nd.

This way, when the date is written using numbers but no words, the number representing the day of the month would not be confused with the number representing the month.

Also, 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.

Note: this is a smaller change than the change to when daylight saving time begins.

2. Good idea.
You should go ahead and try the system out, see if it catches on.

3. I'd be in favor of it except then James Taylor would have to re-write
the second verse to "Sweet Baby James":

Now the first of December was covered with snow
So was the Turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston
The Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frostin'
With ten miles behind me and ten thousand to go

Other than that, I'm with ya all the way.

5. Are trying to obfuscate what Brutus did to Ceaser?
When, exactly, would the Ides of March now be observed ....... or do we just ignore it?

6. US only
Because the ENTIRE WORLD expresses dates in dd/mm/yy configuration, and they're never confused. Furthermore, what we call one billion is actually one thousand million outside of the US. Our rugged individualism, I guess.

9. Yeah, but for the next 35 years, though, we'd be confusing the year with the day!

10. And calling the first day of the month the thirteenth day of the month would not be confusing?
And you think this is a smaller change than DST?
