Today, I have learned that at least two Republican men, both of whom probably never joined the military or did anything brave in their lives, are now bashing the male students who were shot in the Virginia Tech tragedy. At least two Republican men have now essentially called the male students who were shot in the Virginia Tech incident cowards. They are claiming that the males did not act bravely enough to stop the events from occurring. Beyond the fact that many of the kids and teachers did act as bravely as they could have, I would think common sense would dictate that the kids really could not have done much more than they did. The gun that the shooter used was a semi-automatic so the bullets left the gun just as fast as he could pull the trigger. What do the Republicans want from these students? Did they want the kids to run full speed at the shooter? The only thing that would have done was give the shooter at least a few easier targets.
I just cannot really believe this. At times you think there has to be a limit to the meanness of Republicans. You think at some point they would be nice to people who have been a part of a tragedy, then they criticize young students, most of whom probably did not have any military training or training that would have helped them know how to stop the attacker, who were a point of a tragedy.
