Anybody know why Grayson is crying?
Edited on Thu Oct-29-09 02:41 PM by byronius
Randi just reported that he was on television, crying. Anybody watching know why?

I love that man.

1. Maybe because the House bill looks like a sellout to Big Insurance?

3. Yesterday he read letters from relatives who died because of the lack of health insurance.
Some letters were very touching and emotional and got to him.

5. Two reasons. 1). He cares about people who die without health care.
2). He likes attention

8. He broke down a few times as he read letters
from friends and relatives of those who died because they did not have proper health care. One story I remember that made him, (and me and many others I'm sure) cry was about the pregnant mother who could not get the care she needed. The letter was from her sister. The little baby died, and also the mother.

I hope he doesn't get too disillusioned with his colleagues, as they do not care about real people. After what he did yesterday, for which he deserves immense respect, the entire Congress should, if they were not working for the greedy, heartless insurance industry, have held an emergency session to see how quickly they could end this criminally negligent death toll of US citizens. They were able to hold an emergency session to defund ACORN, one of the few organizations in the country that actually helps the poor, so we know they can do it, if they want to.

Instead, they are busy trying to see how much money the Insurance Industry can make and I have not heard a single comment from Congress about this horrendous tragedy.

I love that man also ~ he is tough, he has guts and also a soul. And he is up against immense cruelty and selfishness, almost alone.
