New Suggestions Of A Summer Al Qaeda Attack

The US News Political Bulletin has learned there appear to be new "threat streams" in intelligence circles that suggest al Qaeda is looking to launch a new attack this summer. The target: The Washington area. One source made aware of the sketchy information said that the hit could come "in the next six months." No more information was available about what the 'threat streams' were and if they were from one or more sources. These types of reports and threats are collected regularly and either are not carried out, turn out to be false, or are thwarted -- at least so far -- according to intelligence officials. Some officials, as a result, downplayed the latest threat suggestions."
