Massachusetts Duers, Just in Case You Don't Already Know, Here's the Deal on Steve Pagliuca
Edited on Tue Oct-27-09 07:15 PM by louis c
The Senate race in Massachusetts is really heating up. AG Martha Coakley is the front runner, and should win if she doesn't make a major blunder (none expected). Cong. Mike Capuano is a passionate Liberal but has a logistical disadvantage. He's never run statewide. He's running against a strong female candidate in a race with 3 other males, one of which shares an Italian surname. The latest poll has Coakley up by 23 points and Capuano running third.

Steve Pagliuca is running as some sort of left wing Democrat. Yet, he endorsed W. Bush, supported Mitt Romney over Ted Kennedy. Supported Republican Bill Weld over John Kerry. In fact, Steve's wife was Treasurer for Mitt Romney when the Kennedy attack ads were aired in 1994. Further, he made his millions as a protege' to Mitt Romney at Bain Capital, the company that breaks up small companies and breaks up unions.

Is this guy kidding? He hasn't even proven to me he's a Democrat, let alone qualified to serve out Kennedy's term. I can't believe he's running second to Coakley. Just goes to show you what money can do.

5. Good choice. I'm really torn between Coakley and Capuano
I really like them both. They have both proven to be real Democrats.

Kinda like Hillary and Barack.

I'll always take two good choices over the lesser of two evils, any day.

6. I'm voting Capuano. Coakley has skeletons.
She mishandled the Fells Acre Daycare case and was pro-death penalty as late as 2002. Not particularly progressive IMO.
