You know what's sad? My husband and I trudged all over Montreal looking for an Expos hat. Dozens of stores. Nothing.

I just read where Expos caps were becoming a sort of retro fashion statement in Montreal's hip-hop community.

If you can track one down, please let me know. I would love to get one for my husband for a Christmas gift. I probably should have noted that our hunt took place two years ago, perhaps we were just on the cutting edge of fashion? ;)

I'm a SF Giants fan - I hope the Phillies win...but I know there's really no chance, with the Yankees overwhelming left-handed pitching. UCK...the Yankees in 5 or 6 games.

is from the Phillies. I don't care who the Yanks have pitching the lineup Utley, Howard and Werth will be hitting the crap out of the ball and putting up a lot of runs.

I am not much of a baseball fan but watching the Phillies this postseason has got me back interested in the game. Also having the games DVR'd so I can FF through commercials has made baseball watchable again for me.

I think it will be Phillies in 7.

12. NEITHER! Both are corporate entities that have frankly made baseball less enjoyable.
There's no real competition. Just pay for the best players and make it a corporate game. No, thanks! I want the fun back in baseball.

17. We'll put you down as a Phillies fan then.
FYI, many of the Phillies best players came through their farm system. The Yankees have been famously quoted as saying, "The MLB is our farm system". They're not called the "Evil Empire" for nuthin'.

27. I can't stand the Phillies. I'm a Braves fan. And now that I live in DC, I think the Nats
could use some of that money being shelled out to the Yanks and all these other corporate ball teams. The problem that we are experiencing in sports is the same problem that we are experiencing with every other industry. You get two or three teams that, year in and year out, dominate the sport. No competition. High ticket prices. It's ridiculous to me. I have and will always love this sport, but I don't appreciate what it's become in recent years.

I don't really like the Phillies because their fans are so incredibly obnoxious and rude.

It's very competitive! Did you miss the part where St. Louis, the Marlins and the Diamondbacks won the series in this decade? What about the successes of the Rockies, Astros, White Sox, Twins, Indians?

I'm getting old!

But as a Mets fan and frequent visitor to Philadelphia I've seen a lot of the Phillies lately, and they kind of have the same spirit as the 77-78 Yankees. If it can't be the Mets, at least it can be NL East.

43. Craig Nettles' defense at 3rd base in that series was some of the best I've ever seen.
Credit where credit is due, he kept the Dodgers from scoring some runs by having the range he did.

I used to have a picture of him robbing Ron Cey of an extra base hit down the third base line... he was in full extension parallel to the ground.

The Phillies have a better team as of right now. It will be an interesting series either way.

72. I work in clubs
Last year the series brought in TONS of people from the playoffs through well after the parade - more people, more tips and more happy partying customers throwing their money around. This year is no different. Anyone that has a job where lots of happy customers throw lots of money around benefit from certain events that bring in droves of happy spending customers.

Right now I'm missing out because I'm sick as a dog. Ugh.

But I think Felix Hernandez of Seattle is going to win it, Greinke will be the second choice. Dark horse will be Sabathia of the Yankees. Greinke's heroic efforts for a lousy team make him the Robin Roberts of his generation.

67. How they treated the city is a lot worse.
Personally I'd like to be paid $6 million a year for a few years, and then be treated like shit when I get fired.

The Yankees got $400 million in subsidies for the stadium and ran roughshod over neighborhood concerns. Steinbrenner's in the process of being sainted in the local media.

Not that other teams have a much more honorable record.
