A number of people have reported receiving an "Access Denied" notice when clicking threads (UPDATED)

Rest assured: You have not been banned. (In case you're curious: When people are banned, the notice says that their posting privileges have been revoked.)

Elad is looking into the problem. Hopefully he can figure it out and get it fixed soon.

If anyone has any additional info that might help us pinpoint the problem, please let us know. For example: What web browser you are using; Whether you get the notice on all pages or just certain pages; Whether the problem appeared and then disappeared; Whether you perceive there to be any sort of pattern to the problem.

UPDATE: We think the problem wa coming from a third-party bookmark/share function. We have removed their code from our site. Is the problem fixed?

3. Haven't got that... but I can't use the Back or Forward buttons sometimes.

And I get a strange "AddThis utility frame" entry in the drop down menu next to the back/forward buttons (recent pages).

And another one that says "http://www.democraticunderground.com/im".

Neither of those redirects me anywhere when I click them.

I'm using IE7.

and only when trying to return to a forum - both back and forward buttons work within a thread.

11. I have the same problem and it is only on DU...

The back arrow works if, for example, I go to My DU and want to arrow back to the previous page but if I have entered a thread and want to go back to the previous page, nothing happens.

I am using IE7 as well.

I use either IE6 or 7.

I can use the back button on my browser inside a thread, but it will not let me go back from the OP to the front page.

14. "AddThis" is the third-party bookmark/share function we use.

I think we're going to remove their code and see if that fixes the problem. Just a sec.

Out on Home/Latest/Greatest, it seems to work fine. I have IE7.
