In my previous post I discussed how bob's employer has cut back on the choices the employees have for health insurance. the closest plan to what we currently have has a $500 in network deductible and a $4000 copay/deductible limit before the insurance pays the whole tab. so the cost we pay for two people stays the same at about $200 every two weeks, but the chance of us even getting to the deductible where they have to spend a dime goes to almost none. bob is really stressing over this and i don't blame him.
So, to the pigs flying. Thanks to this awesome move by bob's employer, my brother just signed his union card and sent it in. This is the same brother that didn't want anything to do with a union that supports LIBERULS. you can not give bonuses... you can not give raises.... but mess with a person's health insurance and you are just asking for it. my brother assured my husband that he isn't going to put up with this.... he'll go get insurance through his wife's plan.... preferred care. that's great.... until HER employer decides they need to cut costs too. but at least he signed the damned card.
