Is anyone else having trouble with embedded YouTube links?

For the past couple days, I haven't been able to click on an embedded YouTube link in the Political Videos forum and run it from within DU. I've had to click on the link to YouTube and watch it there. In each original post, the YouTube screen is black, where it normally has a 'still shot' from the video.

This is not a huge deal, but I wondered if anyone else was having this trouble. If it's something wrong with my settings, I want to fix it so I don't have to open a new tab or window.

1. Not just here

I have been having problems with embedded videos everywhere. If they play at all, they freeze shortly in. If I click through to YouTube, they buffer and play correctly.

It started for me when I switched to Chrome.

My desktop computer performed the dance of the dying cockroach recently, so I've been using this laptop that's even older, and I've been reluctant to change to another browser due to memory concerns.
