BREAKING: John McCain is disatisfied with his health care insurance(s)
On today's edition of Face the Nation, Johnny was asked if he could support health care reform that included a government plan. "No" said Johnny, "I have never seen where the government can do a good job providing health care.

This is Johnny. Navy Vet Johnny. War Hero Johnny. Pentagon officer Johnny. Elected official Johnny. All-his-life-on-the-public-teat Johnny. Never had a paying non-government job Johnny.

This is Johnny who qualifies for TriCare, VA care, and Senatorial insurance.

This is Johnny, who has never had to live in the non-governmental world.

Johnny is not happy with government health care.

We must all be way better off than we thought we were. And here we wanted government run health care. Good thing Johnny's there to set us straight.

25. I kinda doubt that they would publish it now. Our paper is getting a little squirrely.
I'm not seeing very many LTTEs on national political issues. Mostly, it's local stuff. We used to have 2 or 3 regular repub. assholes write in as often as they could but I don't see them much any more. We're such a liberal town, the liberals are all busy and pretty happy with Obama and the few repubs are just slinking away, out of sight...

If you're against government involvement, why do you need to be at the table? Just vote against it when it gets to the floor. Why should anyone have to put up with you in committee or elsewhere when, because it is government involvement, there is NOTHING they can do to get your vote on anything but the most crippled, fucked-up piece of shit they can get to the floor . . . BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!!!

John McCain is IR-RELEVANT he should be marginalized at every opportunity.

27. Did McCain ever release his full medical records?
I know there was a demand to see them during the last campaign and I believe a group of reporters had only a short time to look at them. Were they ever fully released so that people could look at them thoroughly? It might be interesting to see all the medical problems for which McCain has received treatment through the years and where he received the treatment. It might be pretty extensive.

:applause:

I watched a movie the other day about POWs and thought about McCain, and thought about how he had suffered, and felt compassion for him as I had never felt before from just hearing from the news media about what he had endured.

Well, as of reading this post, that didn't last long. I still am sincerely, truly sorry for what he went through in Vietnam, and would never wish that on any sentient being. But it doesn't sound like he learned much from his experience beyond "I deserve everything I get from here on out."

He came back from Vietnam and the POW experience completely wrecked.
He's probably had umpteen proceedures.
In addition, that ex-wife he dumped was saved by government health care, too.
OH...and his mother hasn't lived this long without government health care (wife of admiral and all that).

Does he even get what he just said?

42. I am curious. Why would you consider him a hero?
I don't consider soldiers who are captured to be any more heroic then those who aren't. Yes, I have compassion for anyone who is subjected to torture. The fact of the matter is that he broke under torture and I don't hold any hostility toward him because he did so, but what of those who didn't? Are they more deserving of being considered a hero? Any respect that I had for the man I have lost completely. He deserted his beauty queen wife because she had become crippled and had subsequently put on weight. He is a notorious boozer and womanizer. Nothing more than a gold digging worthless excuse for a human being. There is nothing about him that I admire.

45. Our Local RePug Congressman uses the same line
Edited on Mon Oct-26-09 09:09 AM by SlingBlade
This is now the standard line Republicans use to
throw the American people off the scent of a Public Option

Don Manzullo (R-16) Illinois:
I Wouldn't Wish My Federal Health Plan On Anybody
http://www.progressillinois.com/2009/7/17/manzullo-health-insurance

What kind of health care do lawmakers and Obama get?
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/71983.html

Rep. Joe Courtney (D-Connecticut) summed up all of the specifics
during a health care hearing yesterday and aptly denounced the
hypocrisy of Republicans fearmongering about the creation of a
government-run "public" plan while enjoying the benefits of one
themselves.

But between this and McCain's attempt to hamstring Net Neutrality, I am thankful to whatever Providence there is that I do not have to call McCain my president. He was unworthy well before Palin came into the picture, and well, let's face it, if he won, Dick would have probably ensure McCain had a "Heart attack" to put Palin in, another dumb puppet he could slid his hand into.
