Saw a disturbing bumper sticker last night.
It read:

God bless our troops...
Especially the snipers.

Yep, it was on the back of a Chevrolet Tahoe somewhere in Lower Arkansas.

:freak:

1. I saw one of those too
It was a few months ago here in KC. The car also had veteran's plates and a yellow ribbon.

Yes, blew me away at the time.

4. You'd think they'd have shown up before now.
We've had every possible permutation of "Support Our Troops" since roughly half an hour after bu$h launched his War For Profit. Why does this one appear after a Black man is elected President?

Disclosure: I am distantly related to Carlos Hathcock.

3. Why is that disturbing?
There are snipers among our troops. They do a very hard job, often among some of the most extreme conditions.

7. Because of its sudden appearance in Red Arkansas,
the original home of the Guns, Gods and Gays meme. I have respect and empathy for all snipers, along with my Sharpshooter's medal from the Army back in 1969. I simply find the sticker disturbing given its appearance after Obama's apparently legitimate election, is all.

14. "original home of the Guns, Gods and Gays meme."
I thought Kentucky held that distinction, or maybe it was Alabama, or Georgia. No wait, maybe it was Texas, or Tennessee. Maybe it doesn't matter, just as long as it's a southern state.:+ Thanks.

8. There have been pro-sniper shirts, bumper stickers, etc for years
One I remember best had a yellow smiley face with a bullet hole and a few blood drops on it. That caption was "Long distance, the next best thing to being there". Then there are numerous variations of "don't run, you will only die tired".
