Any good Halloween Costume ideas?
I'm dressing up as a brick.

My husband is dressing up as a brick layer.

What's everyone else doing?

Anyone else going as a political figure? I imagine going as Dick Cheney would require
removal of your soul and an entire evening spent growling and gritting your teeth. Not
worth the aching jaw if you ask me.

Palin would be a good one. All you'd need is a lobotomy, a pair of heels and a parka.

Anyone want to share?

Get some of those glow in the dark necklaces, glue them on some black sweatpants and a black top, and make some into circles for your hands and feet, and a big circle for your head... and presto! You're a stick figure. :)

17. Find a long black hoodie cloak
a sickle and a skeleton mask,

and a large square of wood paneling, complete with labels and decorations,

and go as "Death Panel".

Should scare the shit out of the old folks you encounter.

18. 20 years ago, my wife went as a naughty witch and I went as...
...her naughty pet.

She was in a size 0 black leather mini-skirt, size 3 black heels, and a slinky black top. Of course, she had a witch's hat, a black whip, and a broom.

I was in dark green silk (real silk) bedroom boxer briefs (Victoria's Secret Mens' Collection), a brown leather vest, cowboy boots, a black leather cap, and a studded dog collar with a dog chain. This was in New Hampshire and it was about 10 degrees out. I caught a wicked case of the flu or something similar and was in bed for about a week. Great party.

19. I went as Sarah Palin last year...
Though it was mostly out of laziness - it was really easy for me, given that I am a slim caucasian female with long, layered brown hair, a square jaw, and glasses. I just had to wear a red blazer and pretend to be incredibly stupid and yet incredibly confident and self-centered. People knew exactly who I was - I'd actually been told that I looked like a younger Palin before I ever put on the costume.

22. I was Space Jesus last year.
Edited on Fri Oct-23-09 05:25 PM by Marr
Bathrobe, space helmet, beard. Easy.

I just go to the costume rental store and pick out a couple of random items. I'm going as a Castronaut this year. Same space helmet and beard, but with military fatigues. Fidel Castro, astronaut... you see what I'm doing there.

My friend is doing the Jesus theme this year. He's going to be X-Treme Jesus, which is just regular Jesus... but with a machine gun.

33. political figure here
I'm going (to campaign for Corzine) as Sarah Palin. I have a suit, pair of heels. All I need is the glasses, a Palin 2012 button (which I can make since I don't want to end up on a RW email list), and a way to fake bangs.

I already have my line ready "oohh if you vote for my friend Chris Christie he's going to quit his job to further his political career like I did"
