Gorbachev Says Obama Deserves Nobel Peace Prize
Gorbachev Says Obama Deserves Nobel Peace Prize
In an interview with Radio Free Europe, former Nobel Peace Prize winner and Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev said President Obama deserved to win the award as well.

Said Gorbachev: "I won it unexpectedly and he won it unexpectedly. America means a lot and will continue to do so for a long time... That's why support a president of such stature, who gave his own country and the world such a strong push forward. And it's already showing real effects. That's honorable."

3. I like Gorbachev
Always have. If it weren't for him, initially, the Soviet Union would still be around, and the people still under a depressing totalitarian regime. He and his wife are good people as far as I am concerned.

4. They have a lot in common
Both took power of falling empires with political and social infrastructure unable to change fast enough to prevent their decline and both were handed wars in Afghanistan started by their crazy irresponsible predecessor that they had to wage out of political pressure.
