Limbecker Morons Decry Volunteerism in the Comics
Over at freeperland, the Limbeckers are up in arms over all the comic strips including volunteerism in this week's strips.

It's a plot by Obama, they say.

"Our Dear Leader Kim Il Obama's Creepy Comics Message
His Master's Voice | 10/23/09 | HMV

If you haven't seen the comics page today, please check it out. It seems that our Dear Leader is attempting to brainwash the children with a not so subliminal message of community service in today's comics. In fact, I counted over 15 comic strips extolling community service in today's paper. It seems that even with a record drop in his ratings, the Dear Leader still can march the media in lockstep with him.

Is this not creepy that he apparently would ask the media to do this? Is it not even creepier that they would comply?"

The Horror of it! Down with volunteers! Extinguish those points of light, damnit. It's a commonist plot!

1. Those people are completely unhinged.

One loon projects his own biases on the comics page, seeing themes of volunteerism where they don't actually even exist to begin with, and that quickly morphs into 'Obama asked newspapers to promote socialism and they had their cartoonists put these strips together'.

a comic strip that depicts someone volunteering to help someone else = socialism = socialism in the newspapers = Obama asked cartoonists to promote socialism and they did so = newspapers are agents of the Obama Propaganda Corps = only Fox and Rush tell the truth = all other information sources are promoting the Obama agenda

It's bizarre.

It's like they don't even understand how to think rationally. They start with a weird assumption and build one layer of unlikely speculation on top of another.

I really believe they've learned how to think from talk radio. I remember hearing Limbaugh's show back in the late 80's/early 90's, when he was one of the few doing that schtick. What struck me was the way he built his arguments. It was the same thing these freepers are doing. Wild speculation upon wild speculation, etc., etc., until he reached his intended conclusion.

5. Good analysis. That's why they're Limbeckers.
"It's like they don't even understand how to think rationally."

It's exactly like that.

2. So what will they accept?
So, the Repubs don't think the government should help the needy, they don't think that community volunteers should help the needy. Obviously, the needy cannot buy the help they need. So what choice do they leave?

'Faith (approved faiths only, please) based' assistance.

If you are hungry, they want your soul!

6. I think they'd approve if the needy just died.
That appears to be their solution.

3. Oh, gee...just when my retired spouse is about to go sign up as a volunteer
at a local organization assisting those in need of all ages. And here we thought he was doing a good thing! Now that we know it's an evil commie plot I'll go talk him out of it.

Geez...these Limbeckers have no depths to which they can sink, do they?

7. What's so strange is that their own leaders made calls for
volunteerism. And yet...if Obama embraces it, it becomes socialistic, when in reality it is the furthest thing from socialism.

4. Wait a second...
...I thought the gop plan for healthcare was to get help from your neighbors and to beg for charity. Aren't those forms of volunteerism?

8. Clearly you don't understand...
If President Obama is for something, the Limbeckers are adamantly opposed to it.

11. Nah...they know. They hate the Bushes, too.
They hate pretty much everyone. Perhaps even themselves.
