3. I do what you do, but unfortunately the far right repugs. are not letting us do that.....
I see another Civil War coming in the US, and this one will be just as ugly or worse than the last one.

The big problem is that most Liberals are to damn passive.

10. I don't have sex
that would work in about 100 years if everyone else did it.

But that's what I don't do, not what I do.

12. I don't kill myself either
Not all at once, at least!

What I do do, however, is try to make the world a tiny little bit better. If everyone did that we might all have a chance.

13. the definitive answer
smoke marijuana

But I am not sure that 'live and let live' is gonna do it either. Some people when they live, they drive hummers, crank up their thermostat, clearcut forests, start wars, eat meat, dump toxic waste, etc., etc.

I bicycle and walk most of the time, but that's not practical for lots of people, but more people could. I pick up trash, recycle aluminium and plastic, use canvas shopping bags, try to minimize my energy consumption - lower thermostats, fuel conservation driving, compact fluorescent lights (and shutting them off at work as soon as possible), use an electric lawnmower and mow rarely, take my brush to the city compost pile.

14. I live in 200 square feet..
Edited on Thu Oct-22-09 10:47 PM by Fumesucker
It doesn't take much energy to heat and cool 200 square feet.

Additionally my seven gallon propane water heater is on a switch, I turn it on 20 minutes before I need hot water for a shower or dishes and then turn it off, I don't keep a tank of water hot all the time so I save that energy. Twenty minutes gets the water just hot enough that I don't need to mix any cold in to take a nice hot shower. It cost $22 to fill one of my two propane tanks this summer, that was three months ago and I still have propane left in it.

I also ride an electric assisted bicycle for anything that doesn't absolutely require a car so my truck often stays parked for weeks at a time. At fifteen watt hours per mile when I loaf at eighteen mph I can go twenty miles on the energy it takes to light a single 100 watt light bulb for three hours. My truck can barely get out of the driveway on that much energy. If I crank it up to Lance Armstrong type speeds I use about thirty to forty watt hours per mile, still orders of magnitude less energy than my truck.

My truck is also an old one for which the manufacturing process has long been complete, by keeping it running and not buying a new one I'm saving the large amount of energy, pollution and raw materials that it would take to replace it. Since I drive it very little it doesn't emit much pollution anyway, a win-win for the environment.

Additionally I donate my blood plasma several times a month, whenever I can find the time to go to the donation center.

Edited for speling.

16. Vegan smugness checking in!
No, just kidding. I don't think that any one thing or habit or act would save the world completely. I do think that several, over a good stretch of time, would be a fantastic start though.
