Tell MoveOn Not To Support Dems Voting Against the Public Option
Edited on Thu Oct-22-09 02:26 PM by Bonn1997
by voting on their poll: http://pol.moveon.org/2009/e/dem_filibuster.html?id=17647-9516624-uDybM7x&t=1

Edit: Technically, the poll is about not supporting Dems who block an up or down vote; they're still allowed to personally vote against the bill so long as they don't block an up or down vote. So MoveOn is being even less demanding than I implied in my thread title.

1. What if, in an up or down vote, they are voting against mandates that arent mitigated by a strong PO
Ever try nuance?

2. I still don't think they should block an up or down vote. They're free to vote against it in an up
or down vote. You're allowed to vote though and send MoveOn a message if you feel there are caveats to your vote. (They have a space for your personal message.)

4. Also, there don't appear to be Dems voting against it for that reason
I haven't heard any say that they'll vote against the public option if it's too weak. As far as I'm aware, the only ones whose support is questionable Dems opposed to *any* public option.

3. Yes. I said "OPPOSE re-election of any senator who votes against invoking cloture."
Whatever is in the bill, allow it to be voted on.
