Pelosi blasts Cheney on Afghan swipe
Pelosi blasts Cheney on Afghan swipe

POLITICO's Meredith Shiner caught up with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just now and asked her what she thought of former Vice-President Dick Cheney's comments that President Obama's Afghanistan decision-making process was weak, indecisive and "dithering."

She didn't like it, needless to say, walloping Cheney as an undignified selective amnesiac:

"You know what, that's really not a very dignified question. I don't mean yours. I mean Vice President Cheney's. The president has a very difficult decision to make. He's got to have the facts to make that. We all pray for the difficult decision he has to make. And I don't think it's very constructive for the vice-president to say that. forgot who's administration made matters worse in Afghanistan with their neglect of this challenge."

The architect of the Bush administration's Iraq strategy, speaking yesterday at the Center for Security Policy, accused Obama of taking too much time to decide on a possible troop surge or recalibration.

"The White House must stop dithering while America's armed forces are in danger," Cheney said. "It's time for President Obama to do what it takes to win a war he has repeatedly and rightly called a war of necessity."

Pelosi, speaking earlier Thursday at her weekly press conference, placed all of the blame on the doorstep of the Bush-Cheney administration -- saying they "looked the other way" -- at Iraq -- as the Taliban gained strength. ... http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/1009/Pelosi_blasts_Cheney_for_calling_Obama_weak.html

2. Evil has a very long shelf life, apparently...
Cheney is like the Energizer Bunny with horns and a tail. I notice the smell of sulfur every time there's an OP with his name.

Shame on me for asking where he's been... ugh... tempted fates again, we did.
