The guy sitting in for Glen Beck said tonight that this tragedy
at VT is not a problem with American culture because the shooter was not an American. He went on to suggest that we have to do something about these "evil doers". I guess he forgot about Timothy McVeigh and a couple of dozen other red blooded Americans. I don't usually watch these programs but I was curious tonight. Now I am just sick to my stomach... but I think I'm going to begin to keep a list of these folks' advertisers and I think I'm going to start writing those people and I'm going to start lobbying my friends about these advertisers and maybe my local storekeepers too. Somebody is watching this spew and buying the products advertised. Time to hit where it really hurts. Join me, that is if you're not already doing this. I must confess that I'm late to this because I don't usually watch this stuff and had no idea how bad it is.

1. Didn't he arrive with his parents when he was eight?
I'd say that makes him an American, more or less.

7. Is there something wrong with that?
Perhaps I misinterpreted you, but given the statement in your subject line and your lack of expansion on it in the body of the message I assumed you did think that there was something wrong with what I wrote. If I did misinterpret you, then I apologize sincerely.

14. I once did this
A term study on who knew most about Am. and it turned out that the people who had been here the short time knew more about the country and how it worked than the so called 'Mayflower' People. My whole term study was some thing that really made me think about people and the country. In general I figured as a young person that the longer here the more you would know about the USA. We seem to want to believe what the radio guy said and many people do but I think he is full of not really looking at people. We hardly need to blame some one from other country for this as we sure have many home born people killing as many as they can it seems.------------ I guess I put that ans. in the wrong place when I made a reply.---------- Looks to me like this was one unhappy man and it masked by pills. So far we do not seem to know what pills were for. I recall in college one of the things that were told was never go to the college if you were depressed as it would stay on your records.

2. It's the typical Rethug mindset -- blame PEOPLE not GUNS
They have this idea that only SOME people are bad, and that we should blame THEM not the fact that LETHAL WEAPONS are so easily available and tempting, even for people who aren't inherently bad but seriously troubled ...

6. Only when the people aren't suburban and white
If they are then you blame video games, women working outside the home, and taking religion out of the classroom.

4. This shooter was full of American Culture
since he had been here since 1992...enough time to be corrupted by the media, gadgets, hip clothes and toys, and guns...yes guns galore. Don't go blaming South Korea or any other nation. America is the sick-o nation hell bent on bullying anyone who doesn't agree with them.

Altho for some reason I find his picturing a 45 yo teacher as ancient and decrepit interesting.
