Va. Tech Massacre Resonates in Iraq
Iraqis learned of the Virginia Tech massacre on TV and radio news and filtered it through their own daily experiences with violence and tragedy.

Al-Haidary, 43, was puzzled. Shouldn’t people in America be at peace amid their relative good life, he wondered, “How can such a thing happen?”

Other Iraqis offered sympathy and also pleaded for recognition of their own plight.

“I was moved,” furniture salesman Ridha Ali al-Qaysi, 53, said of seeing the Virginia shootings on TV. “But then I thought about it and I thought this is a message (to America) about what is happening in Iraq.”

2. I'm not surprised. They know what it's like and how horrible it is to live amid such violence.
And they know to blame Dubya, not all Americans.

4. If we just left they would stop killing each other
Sadr has said the Medhi Army only exists as a weapon against the occupation not the Sunnis.

10. Were there any suicide bombers in Iraq before the US and British bombs
destroyed their country during the invasion and then occupied it like it was their private property?
