He's in town, right now. I've heard enough from him for 8 years, why on earth would anyone pay to hear him now?

Canada won't let you in if you have a drunk driving conviction on your record.

12. Get this: tomorrow Bush is speaking at the Montreal hotel where Lennon & Ono had their bed-in.
Their bed-in for peace.

Bush to face anti-war protest in spot where Lennon recorded 'Give Peace a Chance'

Also, you gotta love how the Calgary Herald can run the story with this headline: Edmonton gives Bush warm welcome, while illustrating it with this photo:
http://a123.g.akamai.net/f/123/12465/1d/www.calgaryherald.com/edmonton+gives+bush+warm+welcome/2127031/2125594.bin?size=620x400

Here, Calgary Herald, let me fix your headline: Select group of Edmontonians who like Bush enough to pay at least $100 to hear him speak give Bush a warm welcome.

(side note: Does $100 - $160 seem like an awfully low price to hear a former "leader of the free world" speak? I bet Bill Clinton could command more though he's 8+ years out of office, and I have no doubt that in 8 years, tickets to hear Obama speak will be a lot more than $160.)

23. Re your "side note"
The comparison is unfair. Obviously Bill Clinton commands higher speaking fees. He's like a bottle of wine. An older bottle of wine is often more highly prized. George W. Bush, on the other hand, is like a moldy slice of bread. You might try to sell it on eBay by claiming that it has the image of Jesus on it, but it won't fetch much.

18. He's getting a rather noisy reception...
Hundreds protest Bush speech in Saskatoon

A noisy but peaceful crowd of 300 assembled in downtown Saskatoon on Wednesday to protest a speech by former U.S. president George W. Bush.

But protesters hoping to boo him in person were disappointed.

Bush, who was in town for a noon-hour speaking engagement at TCU Place, was taken inside the building earlier in the morning and avoided any encounters with the crowd.

snip

"Harper, Bush: Twins," "End the Occupation of Iraq" and "Greed, War, Barbarian" were among the slogans.

(What a chickenshit, smuggled into the building instead of having the guts to face his detractors.)

and from yesterday:

Protesters greet Bush in Edmonton

Former U.S. president George W. Bush arrived to a loud and unfriendly welcome at the Shaw Conference Centre in downtown Edmonton on Tuesday.

Bush's motorcade was greeted by chants of "Bush, go home" and dozens of placards carrying messages such as "War criminal go home," "Defend the rights of all," and "Afghanistan Iraq illegal wars."

Police estimated about 250 demonstrators clogged the narrow sidewalk in front of the convention centre on Jasper Ave., where Bush was to give a speech Tuesday evening.

The talk was sponsored by Bedford Biofuels, an Alberta company that turns plant material into fuel, with operations in Asia and Africa.

20. Why don't you guys arrest him? He's a war criminal and he doesn't have
diplomatic protection any more from what I understand. It could be the only justice he will ever get.
