Only 20% Of Americans Want to Be Called Republicans
Edited on Tue Oct-20-09 07:43 PM by samplegirl
It’s the lowest percentage in 26 years, according to the new Washington Post/ABC News Poll.

“Only 20 percent of Americans now identify themselves as Republicans, the fewest in 26 years. ,,, Americans by 51-37 percent in this latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say they’d rather see a plan pass Congress without Republican support, if it includes a public option based on affordability, than with Republican backing but no such element.”

6. My husband and I saw a very odd bumper sticker the other day
it said in large letters " I'M A REPUBLICAN"

and then in very small letters underneath that it said "for a reason"

and that was it.

I wanted to add "Give me time, it will come to me."

7. Many conservatives do not consider themselves "republican"
Edited on Tue Oct-20-09 07:50 PM by OneTenthofOnePercent
Just as all progressives are not "democrats", all republicans are not conservative. Hell, nothing the repubs did in the lat 6 years was conservative - they literally destroyed Clinton's balanced budget. I think alot of the perceived "right wing" is made up of conservatives and libertarians who do not endorse the entire republican platform and disassociate themselves from it.

9. So only 20% of the nit wits admit they are republicon sheep yet come election time
the nit wits will come out with 30 to 40% to vote for republicons. We seen it time after time, oh I'm not a republicon, I'm an independent that supports the republicon agenda. Beauty pageant bull shit by those that will cut their own throats to keep others they feel don't deserve anything from getting ahead or a fair shake.
