Obama's in NYC tonite. Will he appear with DEM Mayoral candidate?

We have an election going on here. Our nominee... city Comptroller Bill Thompson is within eight points of the conservative republican incumbent, despite being outspent 17 to 1.

( Yes, that's seventeen to one.) Obama's here among other reasons, to raise money for DEM candidates and he is on record as being in favor of Thompson's election.

A joint public appearance will go a long way toward closing the gap. A snub will send a mixed message. ( The republicn opponent is popular among some Obama appointees.)
