My name is Meghan Trim and I’m the deputy coordinator of the out-of-state volunteer program for the Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign.

This Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST) activists throughout the country will be utilizing our Virtual Phone Bank system to call in to Virginia and help elect Creigh Deeds Virginia’s next Governor!

The race is close - and our opponent for Governor (Bob McDonnell) wrote a thesis at the age of 34 "in which he described working women and feminists as "detrimental" to the family. He said government policy should favor married couples over "cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators." You know the only reason Democrats (barely) won the last few close races in VA was because the Republican candidates basically self-destructed themselves. Who needs to go negative when you've got people like Kilgore and Allen as opponents?
You're willing to throw away an 8 year streak of good governance by the DPV because the Deeds campaign has the temerity to paint McDonnell, rightfully, as a reactionary instead of waiting in vain for him to pull another Allen?
