Another Conservative Jerk-off blames the victims for not attacking the shooter.
I posted this morning NRO's John Derbyshire bullshit about this and now we got this scumbag saying the same shit. Note his picture below and wonder why his sweet little face isn't wearing Kevlar in Iraq.

More blaming the victim.

Conservative Nathaniel Blake at Human Events Online links positively to John Derbyshire’s post, then writes that the students at Virginia Tech should feel “heartily ashamed” for not acting more bravely:

College classrooms have scads of young men who are at their physical peak, and none of them seems to have done anything beyond ducking, running, and holding doors shut. Meanwhile, an old man hurled his body at the shooter to save others.

Something is clearly wrong with the men in our culture. Among the first rules of manliness are fighting bad guys and protecting others: in a word, courage. And not a one of the healthy young fellows in the classrooms seems to have done that. …

Like Derb, I don’t know if I would live up to this myself, but I know that I should be heartily ashamed of myself if I didn’t. Am I noble, courageous and self-sacrificing? I don’t know; but I should hope to be so when necessary.

5. During one of the first press conferences:
A similar question was posed from the some guy who said that "he would have attacked the guy." I couldnt believe the idiot. For me I think, if you attack, you are open to get shot. I changed the channel off of the press conference because I didnt care to hear anymore. I switched it back a couple minutes later for some more sane questions.

10. Pretty amazing. This murderer could empty his clip in less than 10 seconds, but...
these heroes could run through the rain of bullets to subdue him.

9. Bill Bradley says the GOP's consistent message is "personal responsibility",
while the Democrats' consistent message is caring and concern for others.

The remark you heard may be a classic example of the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

It's all ridiculous speculation to make cheap political points.

'Course we are talking about RW ass holes, nothing is off limits to them.

16. But this guy just barricaded the door.
How can he be a hero? I mean it's not like he rushed the gunmand and disarmed him like Nathanial Blake would have done!

:sarcasm:

17. It seems every conservadroid
is terrified that someone somewhere is thinking he's a girly-man. Can't think of any other reason we get apropos of nothing eruptions like this. A decade from now, we'll hear these internet dust ups recounted as cherished battle-weary vet stories, solemn homages to the soldiers whose exercise of the "first rule of manliness" on the homefront kept the Battle For Civilization in Iraq from collapsing before it began.

20. If he's so brave, WHY ISN'T HE IN IRAQ?
Truly. He'd run through gunfire to save a roomful of students, but he sits in America behind a keyboard telling others how they should live their lives. If he is really the man he claims to be, hell, sign him up! There's at least one soldier who'd love to see his or her family again, isn't there?

These RW'ers are nothing but cowards and a waste of skin. We'll see how "brave" they are when they're confronted with a person who is bent on destruction and there is nowhere to run.

Better odds, especially jointly. He was pushing his way into doors for Christs sake. Let him in, then position three people directly in front of the opening (holding something like a table, for instance) and one against the wall behind the door. He would've Have three others rush out the back of the lecture hall and come around from behind. WTF do you think the military trains you to do? They do it for a reason because this is how you HANDLE assholes like this and not only protect your own life, but OTHERS.

That said, isn't this the guy who said he wished the Iranians had
done something horrible to the British prisoners because they were
"wimps" who had betrayed their country?

24. Hell, he doesn't even have to go to Iraq
In any urban area, there are drug dealers that have control of neighborhoods, he can drive down RIGHT NOW! He has a chance to prove his manhood still, the oppurtunity is not lost. What's the matter Mr. Blake, chicken? Yes, I hereby declare Nathaniel Blake a coward for not risking his life when the oppurtunity presented itself. Glad that's settled.
