7. DVR is even better!

we have the comcast cable box with DVR at our house. it works kind of like Tivo.

it's all set to record our favorite shows, adn then when you watch, you zip right past the commercials.

i will never go back to "normal" tv again

It works like a charm.

Media center is even better with its 30 second fast forward.

I only watch the commercials if I'm using airvideo on my Iphone because it disconnects when it buffers sometimes.

3. I yell at the TV a lot more than most folks.

For example, a commercial I saw, today, depicted three scenarios of children turning up their noses at healthy food before the fourth scenario showed a child who was delighted by a plate of Tyson chicken nuggets that her mother brought to her. That kind of crap makes me f'ing crazy. Over-processed, over-salted, fat-added, breaded and fried, nuggets made from antibiotic and hormone infused chickens who were probably fed ground up pieces of other chickens and forced to grow so quickly that their legs couldn't bear their body weight and they basically sat in their own feces for most of their miserable lives, densely packed into stinking, dark factory chicken coops where they were minimally tended to by egregiously underpaid and poorly treated employees who are beyond desperate to keep their jobs. Yep. I yelled at my TV today.

Oh, to your point, I also get pretty steamed over HCR lies.

10. No, I do find myself watching

less and less TV. I am so throughly burnt out by the commercial blitz for each episode of (insert program here) that I have just given up.

If I find a series interesting, I will simply wait until it comes out on Dvd or record it on DvR and skip the ads.

My wife stills enjoys watching TV so we have to keep the satellite thing going, but for me. I could care less.
