12. What good would a permanent moon base do? Seriously.
The moon has the same problem as Mars, iirc; it has no magnetic field to protect life from harmful radiation. Big risk of cancer just to stay there for a short time, much less on any long-term basis.

If we had a moon base, it would have to be completely lead-shielded. Better to focus on Earth--keeping it habitable. It is our home.

14. I didn't think about the lead issue. I don't think we should contaminate the moon with lead...
no moon base if we need to use lead.
