I don't know how he got me on his mailing list since I'm not a constituent or donor, but since he sent me the link, I used it:
I do not trust private health insurance companies to behave ethically without tight regulation of how much they can charge in premiums and how much of their income they can hold back in profits, executive compensation and the like.
The best way to make them behave is a STRONG PUBLIC OPTION THAT ANYONE CAN BUY INTO. Less than that will be judged an epic failure by the American people.
Given the nature of the bills that emerged from the Senate committees, it looks like you guys were more concerned about saving insurance company profits than saving average Americans money and lives.
This is a chance for Democrats to prove that have not gone insane with the syphilis of corruption like the GOP, but you guys seem to be bending over backward to prove you are just as diseased.
The final proof would be a MANDATE to buy private insurance with no public option for citizens to escape companies who will gladly let people die to fatten their profits.
Instead of doing lunch with health insurance execs and taking their money, you should be making referrals for criminal prosecution of murder for profit of your constituents who died because they were denied reasonable care that their policies should have covered.
You should give him a piece of your mind too:
