Dow joins Climate Change fight
“Climate change is real and the most urgent environmental issue our society faces. Slowing, stopping and reversing the causes of climate change will require collaboration, innovation and sound public policy. We are therefore very pleased to join the United States Climate Action Partnership, and help drive its goals and principles.”

Dow CEO Andrew Liveris

---------

Don't snicker, this is real, and very important.

Dow's HQ is in my home town, and as Al Gore's messenger in this area, this is a huge boost to my
credibility, and more evidence that we have taken the high ground
on the climate issue.
The momentum in corporate America is irresistably in our direction,
we are the leaders, and we need to act like it.

It still remains to explain the
details to the middle of the roaders, but
now I know I can get a hearing by an even wider
audience.

1. Midland, MI? Been there.
If Dow is doing anything other than what is politically expedient, I'd be shocked and awed.

You do know why they're in that area of MI, right? Let's just say that the extensive salt domes that run under much of MI and out under the lakes are great for storage and disposal. Don't tell the mob.

2. maybe they are beginning to "get it"?
first Gingrich now Dow - Wow! They might have ulterior motives but still, we need many voices to speak up to say that it's real, it's happening and we must do something about it. To avowed skeptics, it won't mean much but to investors, perhaps more thought will go into where they put their money.
