Need help in two issues. My SIL is strong Union but his brother works
for some big corporation and is feeding him talking points. First of all is there any truth to the talking point that says the HRC bill is going to tax pensions to pay for the costs? Also I need a site that has the bill on it so he can read it or at least our side of this issue.

1. pensions are income - they're already taxed.* Tell him to stop making shit up
and listening to hatefilled braindead jackasses who make shit up to make stupid people like him cower in fear.

* caveat: "pension" is a broad word, so let's call it "retirement plan", and then add the caveat that, yes, there are some retirement plans that DO pay out tax free depending on how they were paid into, but they are nowhere near as common as the generic "retirement plan/pension/whatever" that IS taxed as straight income, at whatever rate that income level demands to be taxed.

2. ansd ask him if the company has "guaranteed" that pension anyway
if the company sells out or closes, that pensions may "go-bye-bye".

Ask him what he read, not what he heard.

That's what some people say.

4. "My SIL but his brother works for... " ?
Sister in law, but His brother ? Did you mean to say BIL?

I need some clarity on this. Ask him/her about single payer?
