I'm not sure I understand what Obama's doing
He hired a DLC politician as his Chief of Staff, a Wall Street insider as his Treasury Secretary, and kept Bush's Secretary of Defense on board.

It seems to me that he is either

A: working within the system to make things better for America, or
B: been bought off by the system.

I hope it's A, but I still have doubts.

3. Ohdearlord ...

Do you realized how boring you are?

No, I guess you don't, given the number of threads you've started just today attempting to throw doubt on a Democratic President.

Have fun, but it's not interesting.

5. What is wrong with asking this question??
Geez, I guess there are those on DU who think that even *questioning* Obama is like tromping
on some sort of sacred ground.

If we don't ask questions--then we are no worse than the Bushbots who never questioned his insanity--just
because Bush was a Republican.

I was a precinct captain for Obama. Loyal to the bone. However, the points this poster mentions ARE very
valid. I am wondering some of the same things. I am wondering why he hasn't returned Habeas Corpus to us--like
he said he would in his "Blueprint for America". I'm also wondering why he gave immunity to the telcos--which
most likely have spied on Americans at the behest of a corrupt government.

I wonder...but at this point, I'm giving Obama the benefit of the doubt. There are dark forces at work that are
still pulling strings. You can't just turn around that ship in a year--or even a few years. I do think
Obama is one of the good guys.

However, you can't lambaste fellow Democrats for asking valid questions. I think Obama would want us asking
these questions. If we aren't demanding "change" then how in the hell is it going to happen--if we aren't
even allowed to acknowledge that something might be wrong?

Remember, change happens from the bottom up. Right? Obama wants us asking these questions. Like he said, "WE" are the
change we've been waiting for. He didn't say "I" am the change you've been waiting for.

We have to be aware, acknowledge problems and DO something about it--which backs up our leaders and helps them
propel change forward.

You're not allowed to think differently than group think. Any who do so will be flogged then shunned forevermore. A special label will be created just for you. All hail the one.

16. What's wrong with the question?

Nothing, by itself.

It's all about context. When you've got an individual who posts nothing but "questions," offers no commentary on those questions other than a reiteration of the question, then one should rightly start to question the purpose.

I'm really tired of this idea that those who question the President from a certain philosophical viewpoint are automatically legitimate. They're not. These questions are continually asked without any supportive detail. And that's the issue.

17. If you are so damn tired , take a damn nap.
You must be one of those who buys canned food and never reads the lable or never asks a question because YOU have all the answers simply because you have some sort of built in belief system that is hardwired in . Hope you are not someone boss or in charge of anything vital or everyone who gets near is in deep trouble.

People ask questions , idiots don't.

To add absolutely nothing at all other than news speak none sense. You offer some cop out none answer as if a question should never be asked unless , repeat , unless it fits your high standards which only give a good indication of just who who think you are.

Gees I feel so insulted. Now I have to get the dictionary out and look up the definition of stupid and see if your photo is there. Or perhaps I need to look up high and mighty the god of the internet standards. Perahps , passive/aggressive would be more fitting .

Get real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I answered OP and you seem to be jumping to conclusions and being insulting.

Edited after reading your other insulting replies. Why insult? Is it your "thing" here? or are you just that sort in real life also?

Makes it difficult to want to have much of a conversation.

Any number of posters who reply in that manner to me or anyone else who even dares to question this admin. I was defending the OP against the many rows of attacks presented in the replies in this tread. It was not directed at you other than to ask you if the answer you offered was good enough for you if someone would have said the same thing to you. It sounded to me , since the OP asked a question and expressed personal doubt that your answer was , it's to big so why bother asking. I was looking for clarification of just what you meant and if your reponse would be good enough for you. I added pat answer because I have seen this same answer and others very similar to it posted before. It really comes very close to saying just trust this admin and don't question anything.

29. Well, I don't do that. I do question. And I was answering OP's "a or b" choice.
mistook it for a question when it wasn't. I would say there are other possibilities also, A AND question everything. I have questions and concerns too.

As far as a THING, like I can get very dryly sarcastic, another unnamed poster uses "Ma'am" in replies, etc. I can't remember everything and thought if it was just your shtick, that would explain it.

I am not in that number who get pissy with questioning. Question everything.
But I also believe the System is bigger than most of us know, takes longer to change than most of us want. If I were Queen of the Universe, things would be different, let me tell you.

32. Yes I agree that this system is big
That's one of the enormous problems and I sort of doubt we will ever get the answers. As far as I can see the population is left out of the big club, yet we get to pay for it in one way or another.

14.  I think it's wise to question everything .
Does not each person here even question themselves or anyone for that matter if they have doubts. I would hope so.

Many here are so willing to pile drive anyone who even brings up doubts or concerns no matter what they are.

I doubt anyone on earth is perfect and as many people there are on this forum I get the feeling they say nothing out of fear of being bashed for asking a question or not agreeing with many here even if it is a legit concern.

If a D or R is the determining factor than have at it and just go along to get along. I see a lot of stench coming from both sides.

Don't people question the contents on a lable on food or question why their car repair cost so damn much or do you simply trust the damn lable or sign on the building? Think about it before pulling the trigger of a loaded gun. Words and actions are not quite the same thing, never have been , never will be.

WE expect our leaders to ask questions since when is it wrong for the people to ask their questions too?
