Will you be watching your president at the services today , I wonder what...
he will say that he believes will comfort those there. Will he some how bring up 911 or terrorism? IF he does bring up terrorism how will he try to spin it? I can't wait to hear it, I may not be able to watch it all because when I see him or listen to him my head feels like it is squeezing together.

Has his base finally came to the realization that we are not fighting them over there so that we can be safe over here. Have they finally realized that he hasn't did anything concerning homeland security, what happened to the swat teams, and other things that are needed. If anything they should be able to see that terrorism can come in many forms.

3. "Everyone has the right to own a gun"
Didn't he say something like that? How HORRIBLE. That must be a real comfort to the families of the victims.

What an imbecile.

* apparently said that some people will pray for those who died at the shooting.

weird sentence, again he is dividing us, or was it a mistake? singling out his base against us who speak out.

26. Yep, here are his exact words from his remarks yesterday...
"...Laura and I and many across our nation are praying for the victims and their families and all the members of the university community who have been devastated by this terrible tragedy."

key words being "MANY across our country", very strange wording for sure, imo.

http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Apr16/0,4670,BushText,00.html

(My apologies for having to use a Faux link but it was the only site I could find via google which had a transcript of his remarks.)

here we go: many across our nation??? why not our nation. why many??? who is many? many like W and his wife??

http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2007/apr/16/transcript-bush-comments-virginia-tech-shootings/

Our nation is shocked and saddened by the news of the shootings at Virginia Tech today. The exact toll has not yet been confirmed, but it appears that more than 30 people were killed and many more were wounded.

I have spoken with Governor Tim Kaine and Virginia Tech President Charles Steger. I told them that Laura and I and many across our nation are praying for the victims and their families and all the members of the university community who have been devastated by this terrible tragedy.

I told them that my administration would do everything possible to assist with the investigation and that I pledged that we would stand ready to help local law enforcement and the local community in any way we can during this time of sorrow.

Schools should be places of safety and sanctuary and learning. When that sanctuary is violated, the impact is felt in every American classroom and every American community.

Today our nation grieves with those who have lost loved ones at Virginia Tech. We hold the victims in our hearts, we lift them up in our prayers, and we ask a loving God to comfort those who are suffering today.

Thank you."

20. If he did say that he is really pitiful...
is that anyway to express thought of sympathy and empathy. Evidently, his people told him to get out there and say something, he is the first one to say that the dems are playing politics if that isn't playing politics I don't know what is. Seemed as if his main thoughts were if people should be able to have guns. Everyone knows that , we will never be rid of guns in this country,

35. that seems so much classier

I saw Bush speak to the nation yesterday...and the bile in my mouth reminded me of why I simply quit watching anything he says... I surely don't want to see this speech. What the hell can he say to make things better? He isn't an ordained minister, a psychologist, and is a very unpopular politician who has brought death and destruction onto this world. He'd be the last thing I'd want to see if I was part of the Tech community .
