think that, if he attacked at all, he'd attack with a slide rule (showing my age) or something. Asian gangs are one thing, but Asian college students are not typically regarded as badasses. They're regarded, fairly or not, as the ones who "attack" by completely fucking up the Bell Curve for the rest of the dunces in the class.

VT is pretty diverse, though, so the profiling aspect isn't going to be coming from the same perspective, even ahead of knowing who the shooter was.

This kid, though, had a track record--he set his room on fire and stalked women. He had "issues" before he ever pulled the trigger.

Thus, if anyone were going to racially profile the two students that I mentioned in my OP, they would have ended up exactly the opposite of what they really did.
