Just doesn't look like this will happen. Baaawaawaa. Now the blame game will begin. Those evil lying liberals torpedoed his dream. Baawaawaa. Hey Rushbo...karma sucks. You are NOT mainstream America and you have been very publicly kicked in you limpballs.

Stick a fork in Limbaugh's NFL dream, it's done
October 13, 2009 3:04 pm ET by Eric Boehlert

In the wake of today's stinging comments from respected Indianapolis Colts owner, Jim Irsay, my guess is that Limbaugh's chances of successfully bidding to become an owner of the St. Louis Ram are close to nil. The idea that the controversy-averse NFL would go forward over the increasingly loud objections to Limbaugh's proposed bid just doesn't fly, especially since, at least out front, Limbaugh appears to have no powerful NFL allies in his corner pushing for the deal to happen.

1. I heard last night he was crying that his quotes are out of context
I guess we don't know what a sweetheart he really is.

3. I've listened to him before (not a pleasant task, believe me).
He sounds even worse when you listen to him in all of his full contextual glory.

He's an intolerant, racist elitist pig.

5. taken in context, his "phony soldiers" remark was more damning
than "out of context" ...

2. Considering he might have had to field an all white team
as many of the African American players had no desire to play for a blatant and public racist, it was probably for the best.

6. Irsay just didn't want competition for the" NFL pharmacy"
... from one Oxy-head to another.

Although I am glad (albeit very surprise) he spoke out against Jabba the Rush.

7. Never knew that this Marylander would actually be commending a guy named Irsay...
...but hey, kudos to him. The sins of the father won't be carried over to the son.

8. it was NEVER going to happen to begin with...
and it's not even a matter of politics, since by comparison several of the team owners are even farther right and see Limbaugh as some whiny liberal softie...The league and the owners are much more concerned about their image...

9. I think you may be right. This could be just so Rush can "bitch" about his persecution
Rush had to know how much fracas an announcement that he was thinking of being part of a deal to buy a NFL team would cause.

This just could easily be a "drama" manufactured by Rush so that he can act all persecuted and blame liberalism and PC thought for holding him back from his dream.

10. Anything that thwarts Limbaugh
is the sweetest thing I ever heard. I'm not a football fan but great work, NFL!
