Hey Limbaugh, get a clue!
They don't allow pompous, lying, racist, fools to own NFL teams these days. Sorry, try roller derby.

1. Uh...How About Jerry Jones...
OK, he's probably not racist, but he is pompous...so is Dan Snyder and Al Davis. Rushbo would fit in with the "brotherhood" that owns NFL teams...rich, CONservative and predominately rushpublican....sitting in the owners box chomping on a stogie and looking important.

This story is starting to get overblown in the fact that Rushbo isn't buying the entire team...he's buying into a group and it's not certain what his role in that group would be. Most likely silent partner as all they want him for is his wallet, not his knowledge of the game. Nonetheless, having him as an owner would surely be controversial...and in time when revenues for many failing teams are way down, his money may be more inticing than his the negatives from his boorish "personality".

...but he is not racist and he is not a liar. Limbaugh is the epitome of both!

9. He may be pompous, but is by no means racist, as I don't believe any
of the owners in the NFL are. Nice swipe (unnecessarily) at Jones.

Interesting to not there are several clubs in the NFL that lean heavily in their donations to democrats. Additionally, the St. Louis Rams have given 98% to democrats. I was positing yesterday, that maybe this is something that oxyrush would want to change.

14. Reading Comprehension Is Your Friend...
I didn't call Jones a racist...but I sure did call him a pompus ass.

Now are those donations by players or the current team owners? Dan Rooney is a staunch Democrat who supported President Obama last year, as did most of the Steelers. Thus, yes, there are Democrats who are owners, but they're a minority.

The donations mean zero, it's the image and perception and you're already seeing a backlash even before a bid is made. Personally I don't care if rushbo is made an owner...I have minor if just passing interest in football and the NFL. That's a deal for the folks in St. Louis and the head of the NFL to deal with. Again...my point, which was missed is that his money is as green as anyone and if the league and team are desperate for it, he'll be sitting in the owners box...players be damned.

17. This is what I saw...
"he's probably not racist" That is what elicited my response. I agree that most of the owners are conservative in some flavor or another, but none would raise to the level of a Limbaugh or Beck. Considering the players and coaches that they hire, plus the public relations they need, politics and especially race cannot become part of their legacy. Look at what happened to Marge Schott a few years back.

BTW, Dan Rooney is a life long republican who supported President Obama last year. He has never been a staunch democrat.

16. I agree he is complex
He gives tons and supports the Salvation Army big time. He also donated $1 Million to bring Thomas Jefferson's papers together. But then he can be Jerry. He never should have fired Jimmy Johnson or Tuna.

2. Let him have his team, but with no minorities.
Limbaugh's Whiteskins, although I doubt any white players would play for him either.

Let's see how many games he can win.

They will never let him into the NFL.

5. Whiteskins?
No way he could put together an all white team and be successful. HE'd better go with the "Halfricans"!

15. Sadly Winning Trumps All...
I know too many people who would accept Atilla the Hun as a coach or owner if it means making it to the playoffs or winning the Super Bowl. Winning tends to cover over a lot of warts. Thus if the team continues to suck and Rushbo is an owner, then he makes a convenient excuse for free agents to stay away and for some fans to cancel their season tickets. But winning, well that's another matter...even players seeing a big payday will hold their nose and take his money.

6. It's not going to happen.
Werther he's a minority holder within a group, majority holder within a group or a sole individual attempting to buy a team. The players union has already come out in opposition to his involvement in any shape or form. Any player that plays for a Rush tainted team will instantly become ostracized and the paid attendance, team paraphernalia sales, tv viewing audience, etc will immediately shrink. Rush is bad business outside of the 13 percenters.
