VT: Cho had receipt for Glock in his backpack
"A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the information had not been announced, said Cho was carrying a backpack that contained receipts for a March purchase of a Glock 9 mm pistol."

1. Press Conference with Police/Investigators say they can't rule out an accomplice
because the gun that killed the student and RA was not the same that killed the classroom students, but they don't have evidence that there was an accomplice either. I guess they have to check the forensic info to know and there were reports he had two guns so maybe they need to get the bullets to know if they were the same guns or not.

Forensics Head said that it may take days to identify all the bodies because of the chaos of the crime scene and to reconstruct how it happened.

5. No, they said one of the guns was used at both locations
I feel that the University is trying to cover their negligent actions in the 2 hour delay in informing the students of the 1st killings. Yesterday they made a big deal of trying not to link the 2 killings, I think, to try to rationalize their unfortunate delay. Two murders on campus and they wait 2 hours to inform students, who, in the meantime, went to classes, where some awaited death.

2. If he was a Korean Citizen
he wasn't eligible to purchase that weapon. Either he lied on his purchase application or some gun shop is in big trouble.

6. Just for info. A glock 9mm (G17) has a standard capacity of 19 rnds
per magazine. A 33 round magazine is also available, which protrudes from the base of the gun. So he could have had as many as 99 rounds with as little as the magazine in the gun and only two additional mags in his pocket.

10. It matters.

It's an indication of the industrial killing capacity of handguns, a development in firearms intended strictly to kill other people.

A 33 round clip? I wasn't aware of that.

12. It's called a MAGAZINE
Only a few weapons use "clips" and the Glock is not one of them

14. You ever held/used a handgun with a 33 round magazine?
Edited on Thu Apr-19-07 07:34 AM by mitchleary
It would be much more cumbersome than a standard mag. Not very easy to carry 8+ inch long mags. Not mention, those do not come with the gun and you have to go out of your way to get one.

Please answer with some facts or something else besides "It matters". I would hope you are smarter than that.
