Polling Call from the NRA

I just (@ 4 p.m. CDT) received a call from the NRA asking me if I agree w/ an effort underway by the UN and Hillary Clinton to bring guns under control.

Wow ...

I'm home here on Columbus Day (federal holiday) and I get a call from the NRA.

Cool, so be it, I politely gave them the benefit of the doubt and listened to their message.

I have no beef w/ the notion of the NRA in regard to their being an organization that looks out for rifle ownership. Cool ... hunting, I can dig it.

But then they played their pre-recorded message for me.

While it was some dude who introduced it, it was some meek voiced young girl who came on afterwards to poll me as to whether I support the UN/Hillary Clinton effort to control firearms.

I exploded and aurally assaulted her.

Could not help it. I told her that it's a fucking shame that a group like the NRA, instead of being a legitimate group for gun owners, that instead they're a mother fucking puppet for the fucking rightwing crackpots.

I told her that I grew up in Missouri and have a lot of friends who have fallen for Rightwing fear tactics like the ones they're shoveling. I told her that it's all bullshit and that the NRA can't shovel the fear any fucking higher.

She politely told me that my opinion had been noted.

She barely got those words out of her maw when I told her I fucking hope so!

Then we both pretty much hung up on each other at the same time.

No doubt my colorful tie raid was recorded and who knows, it might end up on Hannity's, Beck's or O'Reilly's show tonight along w/ an NRA leader shaking their head telling Sean, Glenn or Bill that they're simply trying to save America.

I'm a veteran, and I know when someone is shoveling shit and the NRA is shoveling it as high as it can manage to fling it.

My number is unlisted and I know that my name is associated with the Democratic candidates and groups I've given support and contributions to. I'm guessing they KNEW they would get the response I gave them. No worries ... I hope they use it. Fucking fear merchants, I'm soooo fucking sick of them!!!!

Has anyone else received this "polling" call?
