So NOW, we have this...the second shooter lived in the dorm at VT? What happened to the reports all last night that the killer was from another Virginia university? How frigging hard can it be to say the body found in the classroom area is or IS NOT the person who killed the 2 at the dorm? And if the first shooter was in lockdown in the dorm, does that explain the 2.5 hr delay in the 2nd shooting? Did he start up again once the lockdown was lifted??? VT may be digging themselves an even deeper hole here. Did they have the killer at the lockdown and then unknowingly let him loose?

Steger said that the shooter who took his own life in the Norris Hall classroom building, where 30 other people were also killed, was a student of Asian descent who lived in a dormitory at Virginia Tech.

Steger referred to this person as the "second shooter."

"It appears that the second shooter was a resident in a dormitory," Steger said. "We don't have all of that confirmed but it appears he was an on-campus resident."

During the lockdown of West Ambler Johnston Hall, the shooter may have been locked down in that dorm with other students, Steger said. He said that he did know the identity of the shooter but that investigators were still trying to piece together his history and details. "The investigation is unfolding as we speak," he said.

1. 33 dead, there's a ton of confusion
and the media isn't helping by spouting out every spurious rumor. It's 1000 times worse than telephone line.

but something is weird about the second shooter story, is the police trying to deflect critism, did they drag their feet about the reports of the first set of shootings in the morning? How hard did they try to find the shooter? I mean, when you have a prisoner escape or a gunman on the loose you send out warnings? ok, they did the lockdown, but was a manhunt initiated? You have mourning relatives of over 32 people and others injured, alot of people are going to start screaming about why didn't this stop with the first two, warranted or not, it'll be hard to contain the rage about this. and allowing students to pack heat in the classroom would not have made the campus any safer. Something was seriously wrong with this person, he was wearing a kevlar vest, he was expecting to get shot at.

2. With more info released on the killer at the dorm
ths morning, and that he was a dorm resident, I just want them to release which dorm the guy lived at. If he lived at and was in the Ambler dorm, how well did the so called "lockdown" go if he was able to get back to his room, load up on more ammo/guns and get out of the building? Or did he wait out the lockout and **then** head to the classrooms?

Sources tell ABC News that Cho killed two people in a dorm room, returned to his own dorm room where he re-armed and left a "disturbing note" before entering a classroom building on the other side of campus to continue his rampage.

Cho's identity has been confirmed with a positive fingerprint match on the guns used in the rampage and with immigration materials.

"Lab results confirm that one of the two weapons seized in Norris Hall was used in both shootings," Virigina Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said at a press conference Tuesday morning.
